I've read his autobiography and when he sticks to writing about football it's ok, but when he starts rattling on about philosophy etc, it shows what a pretentious prick he is, even tries to justify his French accent!
Shame but the Frank Lampard anecdote isn't true.

It has always said a lot about your average football fan, that when they hear an ex-player who has read a book or two they regard him as some sort of genius. Same old crap with Graham Le Saux, Clive Clarke etc...
David Weatherall was a genuinely smart guy though. Wonder what he's doing now? I'll ask the hive mind...

I think Sky pundits are, in the main, crap. I did think Stuart Pearce offers some constructive views and Richard Keys is great to watch but I wouldn't give tuppence for the rest of them.

Danny Kely's Trans Euro Express is an excellent listen, although he does say 'thank you very much indeed' a little too much.
